PDF Visual Compare
Compare two PDFs pixel by pixel to catch layout shifts, font-rendering drift, color changes and image swaps that text comparison misses.
Add the original and the revised PDF to compare them side by side.

Unlike PDF Redline Compare, which diffs text content, this tool diffs what a page actually looks like when rendered - catching a moved element, a resized image, a recolored field, or a swapped picture in the same position, none of which change the underlying text. Pick pixel-level, a tolerant structural-similarity check, or a fast perceptual-hash pre-screen, and review results side by side, as a ghosted overlay, or as a difference heat-map. It only reads both files; nothing is changed.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from PDF Redline Compare?
Redline Compare reads and diffs the text itself - it tells you what words changed. This tool renders both PDFs as images and compares the pixels, so it catches things text-diffing cannot: a shifted layout, a different font rendering, a recolored field, or a swapped image occupying the exact same text and position.
What is "perceptual hash" mode for?
It is a fast, coarse pre-screen - good for quickly finding which pages of a large document are worth a full pixel or structural-similarity pass, not a detailed comparison on its own. It flags pages as different or not, without highlighting specific regions.
Is the "moved" or "resized" label always correct?
No - these are best-effort classifications based on comparing a changed region and a modest area around it, meant to help you scan results faster. Treat them as a starting point for your own review, not a certified diagnosis.
