PDF to EPUB
Turn a PDF into an EPUB e-book that reflows on e-readers and phones - real text, chapters and navigation - or keep the exact page look with fixed layout.

Every page is read into blocks - headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, tables, figures, footnotes - in the right reading order, even across columns. Running headers and page numbers are removed, words broken across lines are rejoined, and paragraphs that continue over a page break are put back together. Chapters come from the headings, bookmarks or "Chapter N" patterns, and you can rename, reorder, merge and split them.
Review the result side by side: the original page with every block outlined, and a live preview of how it reflows on a phone, tablet or e-ink screen. Reclassify a block with a click. The finished EPUB 3 has a table of contents, print page numbers, linked footnotes, alt text for images and accessibility metadata, and is checked before you download it.

Frequently asked questions
Reflowable or fixed layout - which should I choose?
Reflowable EPUB is best for books, reports and articles: the text resizes and rewraps on any screen. Fixed layout keeps every page exactly as it looks in the PDF - better for magazines, brochures, posters and slide decks. Hybrid does both: reflowable text, with only layout-heavy pages kept as fixed pages.
Will my scanned book convert?
Yes, when OCR is on: image-only pages are read into real text. Pages the OCR can't read confidently are kept as page images, and the report lists them.
Is the EPUB validated?
Every book is checked for a correct container, well-formed files, a complete manifest, working internal links and alt text. When the server has EPUBCheck installed, the official checker runs too - the download page says which checks ran, and a book is only called valid when EPUBCheck found no errors.
Can I convert a PDF that doesn't allow copying?
No - if a PDF's permissions forbid extracting its content, it isn't converted. Ask the owner for a version that allows it.
