Document Authenticity Checker

Score a PDF against a checklist of forensic signals - producer consistency, font fingerprinting, page uniformity, and more - and see exactly what was flagged.

This tool runs a checklist of independent forensic signals over a PDF - whether the same tool produced every part of it, whether fonts are used consistently, whether pages match in size, whether numbers add up - and combines them into one weighted authenticity score. No single signal proves or disproves tampering on its own; each is reported with what it actually found so you can judge it yourself. It only reads the file; nothing is changed.

Simple workflow

How it works

  1. 1

    Add PDFs

Add one or more PDFs to the list, and pick a document type to tune which checks matter most.

  2. 2

    Check

Run the check on a file and open its signal breakdown.

  3. 3

    Review

Inspect each flagged signal and region, then export a report.

Frequently asked questions

Does a low score prove a document was tampered with?

No. Every signal here is a heuristic, not a forensic proof - a legitimately signed-then-annotated document, a scanned form, or an unusually laid-out but genuine invoice can all lower the score without anything being wrong. Read the flagged signals and judge them yourself; treat the score as a starting point for review, not a verdict.

Does this check certificate revocation or run OCR?

No. It works from the PDF's own structure, metadata and rendered content - no network calls, and no OCR of scanned images. A scanned or image-only document gets a lower-confidence score with an explicit note, since font and text-based signals have nothing to check.

What does "Template Match" need?

A known-genuine sample of the same document type (e.g. a verified bank statement from the same issuer), uploaded in the settings panel. The tool renders both documents and compares them visually - it is optional and off by default.
