Every page is measured for ink: empty pages in digital PDFs are recognised instantly, scanned pages by their actual ink coverage, with scanner noise, edge shadows, punch holes and margins ignored. Blank pages are removed and you get one clean file back.
Before anything is removed you see every page's score and can drag the threshold to re-decide live. Nearly blank pages wait in a review panel for you to confirm, and pages with form fields, annotations or signatures are never removed automatically. Bookmarks that pointed to a removed page move to the next one, page labels are renumbered, and links to removed pages are cleaned up.

Frequently asked questions
Will it remove a page that's only nearly blank?
Not on its own. Pages just above the threshold - a faint watermark, a single mark - wait in the Review panel until you confirm them. You can turn that off under Review Workflow if you trust the threshold.
My scan is two-sided - can it remove only the blank backs?
Yes. Choose "Only duplex back sides" under Removal Rules: blank back sides of single-sided pages are removed, and blank pages elsewhere - such as a deliberate blank before a chapter - stay.
What happens to bookmarks and page numbers?
Bookmarks that pointed to a removed page move to the next remaining page, page labels such as roman-numeral front matter are renumbered, and internal links to removed pages are removed. Page numbers printed on the pages themselves can't change - only the pages are removed.
